When the advisor to the Andres family, Dimitris, betrayed the Royals, killing the King and Queen and exiling the young Prince Marcus so that he might take over the country, he never thought the Prince would return. However, he did, killing Dimitris on the day of his wedding to Amanda, and reclaiming the throne, restoring peace to the country, and helping to destroy the villainous Mind Master (Uma Thurman), a shapeshifting creature manipulating Dimitris.
However, Amanda (Diaz) was with Dimitris' child, and hid the fact by quickly marrying Valentin Milosovici (Cruise), the King of a small Eastern European country named Slovechnia. The child, Julian (Rosenbaum), grew up as Crown Prince of his country, but the Mind Master (Thurman) was not, as the good guys had thought, gone. She posed at the Milosovicis' nanny to the Princes, and manipulated Julian throughout this upbringing to think that Marcus (Fraser) killed his father unrighteously, robbing him of the family and country he should have had. Julian trained as a mage and swordsman to one day take his revenge and let his father rest.
His plan went off nearly without a hitch, as he began a correspondence with Princess Siochan (Beart), eldest daughter of Marcus, in which he secured secrets about the Palace and family that allowed him to enter and kill the oldest Prince Randall (Kane), as a masked assassin, in front of his sister Siochan. The plan continued as he came to actually meet with her, and wooed her, while the next Prince in line for the throne, Colin (Grace) was framed for Randall's murder, and tried for High Treason. Julian proposed to Siochan and they were wed, and the guilt of what he was doing began to eat away at him, as the secret weighed down between them. Deciding to keep what he was doing as "honest" as he could, he "accidentally" stabbed her youngest brother William (Wood) in the heat of a battle, securing the throne would fall to Siochan and himself. Unexpectedly, a vampire sired William, and he rose again, though his soul was eternally damned, and he was still unable to take the throne.
The final act of Julian's revenge was meant to be the poisoning of the Queen (Jolie), and a final confrontation with Marcus. At the afterparty for the play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in which Julian played Oberon, he prepared to reveal the truth to Siochan, though he had come to realize that his dreams of "saving her" from her "evil" family were probably just that - dreams.
Siochan, sensing something keeping her husband distant, realized her own feelings for close friend Asher Giovanni (Adam Brody), and poured her heart out to Julian's pet tiger Nespoutany - who she did not know was his familiar, and could relay her emotional state to him. Knowing that this really was probably their last night, Julian brought the poisoned drink to Alainn, only to have the King swipe it and drink it first, rendering him comatose.
Julian, distraught at being cheated out of the one-on-one duel he had been waiting for, revealed what he had done to Marcus, who could hear everything he said, and not react. Unfortunately, he was followed by Siochan and others, who listened and watched in horror as the truth was revealed.
Tried and imprisoned for his crimes, Julian was forgiven by Siochan, and worked at learning how to unlearn everything he had always believed, and how to forgive himself. His greatest test came when Garret (Ben Affleck), once a friend of Siochan and Julian, now allied with the Devil himself, offered to make Julian his lieutenant in Hell, giving him a chance to fight the demons who had wronged him, and make a difference, instead of remaining in prison. Julian finally realized that his imprisonment was deserved - and that he could never go through with what Garret proposed. Once more, he turned himself towards the work he could do on earth, helping those who were troubled from within the jail's walls.

This video is from Julian's perspective, about the events of the game. Wherever you see Lana Lang or Natalie Imbruglia, they are stand-ins for Beart. Julian is a NPC, so he was played by me. Of the characters included, Siochan and Garret are PCs. |
